We went to Mt. St. Helens today and the weather was the same as yesterday - rainy and foggy with visibility under 30 meters for part of the way. Nevertheless, we made it to Johnston Observatory, where the weather was so miserable that we skipped the outside viewing points and went straight inside and decided to wait for the next educational film viewing.
Excuse me, have you seen Mt. Rainier???

To be honest, we saw more of Mt. Rainier from Seattle on our arrival day than today. But today was an adventure nevertheless. The drive up to the National Park and then within the park worth it all by itself without the vistas.

Gosh golly darn. It was quite a bit nippy out there…but the view was as spectacular in the morning as we hoped it to be.

For some reason the night ended way too early. Reckon we’re still quite well in the hands of the European timezone. Let’s just say it was dark, the hour was in the one digit range still, and quite for a while so…and I was able to watch a game of soccer, and it wasn’t the second one of the day. Bleargh.
