We figured we’d have seen enough East Coast for the time being…and should venture forth to the West Coast. Different nature…different climate…

Desert Botanical Garden at Phoenix. Chihuly strikes again. First time exposure to \'wild\' hummingbirds...

Ok...this was...yeah. Invisible rattlesnakes. 19th Century Cavalry missing although it looked like straight out of the movies... and HEAT. In April. Dry heat, yeah....right...

Holy Cow! Even more hummingbirds. And...well, look for yourself.

Our trip to Sedona. Sadly, Sedona itself didn\'t hold much photographic appeal to me, but the road there...a different story :)

Off to the Grand Canyon via Flagstaff. Talk about change in temperature...from desert heat to snow....

A roadtrip again, this time via Page, AZ...and what a stunning trip it was.

Yay Dog Town :)
And I found a friend there, too. Shout out to you, Balou...sadly though I can't take you back to Germany...you really have it much better at Best Friends.

Our trip? Definitely a red/orange colored one. The colors were just intense..and Bryce Canyon? Couldn't get enough.

Via Mt. Zion National Park. Our "America the Beautiful" pass from the National Park Association sure got a run for its money during this trip. I do not think that we ever visited that many State and National Parks. And all of them...excellent.
Sadly though this meant saying good-bye to Balou.
